Public transportation is simultaneously the best and worst thing to ever happen to society. On one hand, who actually wants to drive a car, get stuck in traffic, and pay for parking (not to mention the emotional damage of watching gas prices skyrocket)? When you can just hop on the subway or bus and get where you need to go without the hassle? Well, not all the hassle, because if you've ever ridden any form of public transportation, you know it's basically a coin toss. You're bound to run into some interesting folks.

And why are they always late? Public transportation is where time loses all meaning. Buses are either early and speed away as you sprint toward them, or they're late by a solid 15 minutes. At this point, you pretty much have show up early for the bus you need because it's definitely going to be late anyway.

I live on a college campus, and the bus system is absolute madness. I remember when I first started, seeing a crowd of people waiting as ten buses pulled up to the stop, everyone piling on while some were left behind because there wasn’t enough room. It was straight-up survival of the fittest, and it’s made me swear off the bus system.
